The picture of left is the Mediterranean diet. It contains fruits, rice, fish, vegetables, nuts and olive oil.
The picture of right is the Western-style diet. It's the typical hamburger with a lot of bad products.
The Population Health Research Institute came up with a list of heart-healthy foods as a guide to help us eat better. The “good” list contains vegetables, nuts and the Mediterranean diet. And the Western-style diet is on the “bad” list.
